Welcome to the fanlisting for the anime and manga series, Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou (彼氏彼女の事情 / His and Her Circumstance), created by Tsuda Masami. The manga ran from 1996-2005, and was turned into an anime series in 1998.
KareKano is a hilarious high school love story, starring Japan's two brightest students, Miyazawa Yukino and Arima Souichirou. Miyazawa is the perfect model student, with intelligence, beauty, and a gentle personality. But in reality, she is a fake who lives for glory and pride. But she meets her match when Arima effortlessly takes the #1 spot from her in high school, and she vows revenge. But when she accidentally blows her cover in front of him, she realizes that they have quite a lot in common. Together, Arima and Miyazawa promise to shed their fake images and be true to themselves.
